New MUSH Client for Windows and Linux

It's been a while coming, but I've finally gotten a public beta release of my MU* client out for testing. It's called Potato (don't ask me why;) and you can find it at http://potato.talvo.com. It's a graphical client, and runs on Windows and Linux.

It's completely usable, though being a beta release it is missing a couple of things here and there (mostly in terms of documentation and missing menu entries for accessing the features that are present) -- the main features are documented on the website. A couple of minor bugs and missing features have already popped up since I released it, though (many thanks to the people who've already tried it and left feedback!), but I'm working on getting those fixed ASAP. Any comments, suggestions or criticisms are very much appreciated, either on here, by email, or via the ticket code on the website. Hopefully you'll find it useful. :)

Congratulations!

Well done on the beta release! I notice you mention clickable hyperlinks. Any chance of having it render inline images?

Ditto

Very pleased to see you got it to public beta!

Can it duplicate TF's statusheight feature and functionality, perhaps something via the spawn windows, for that silly animated text thing I loved so much?

Thank you. :) I'm not

Thank you. :) I'm not familiar with that feature (only played with TF quite briefly), but I'll take a look and see how it works.

Thanks :) Hrm.. it would

Thanks :) Hrm.. it would probably be possible to add without too much difficulty. I'm not planning to go the Pueblo route any time soon, but just recognising links that end in .gif/.png/.jp[e]g and trying to display the image they link to instead of showing a hyperlink is probably not too hard. Will stick it on the to-do list.
