BTECH3056
Submitted by Aamirez on Fri, 2008-04-11 13:47.Ahh, the good old days. In the early to mid 90s there was a MUSH made from the gods, Battle Tech 3056. I have fond memories of this MUSH and how amazing it was to drive a mech around and spar with other players in giant mechanical warfare -- not to mention the deep roleplay and tinyplots that revolved around the different factions.
MUSH Documentation Project - Revisited?
Submitted by Ender on Sun, 2008-03-16 22:24.I'm putting this in the Community topic because I think this would be an excellent community effort.
In 2001, Walker and others decided to try to do something. Called the MDP, or MUSHCode Documentation Project, the idea was to start give advice, help, hosting, and other services to a new game. The catch? Everything you do, every system, every decision, is documented for others to learn from.
When I was giving my talk, I was thinking. This never really worked. But maybe it'll work now. Even if it doesn't, another failure won't hurt anyone.
So, here's what I'm going to do:
Managing your MUSH Working Picnic #4 with Javelin!
Submitted by Elvie on Tue, 2008-02-26 18:25.The working picnic series, Managing Your MUSH continues at M*U*S*H (mush.pennmush.org 4201) on Sunday 2nd March.
Excitingly, our guest speaker for this week is Javelin who will be talking on 'Good to Great for MUSH' and everyone is welcome. Tell all your friends and pack your picnic hamper! Following the talk, there will be plenty of time for discussion.
These events are proving very popular with some fascinating discussions.
Sunday working picnic #3 - ' Book-Based MU*s. From Choosing a Theme to Managing Player Expectations' with Nymeria
Submitted by Elvie on Fri, 2008-02-22 14:16.The 'Managing your MUSH' working picnic series goes from strength to strength. Following Impster's superb presentation and discussion last week and a big turn-out, this week's guest speaker is Nymeria who will be talking on the subject of MUSH themes and player expectations.
It will be held in Linden Grove at M*U*S*H (mush.pennmush.org 4201) on Sunday 22nd February at 4:30pm MUSHtime (Chicago)/10:30pm GMT.
Do come along, the talks are usually short and interesting and there's plenty of time for discussion.
MUSHCode.net Code Repository
Submitted by Noltar on Thu, 2008-02-21 22:11.After entirely too long I have finally pushed the initial implementation of the MUSHCode.net code repository into public usage. It is still very basic and utilitarian, with some features not yet implemented, but based on feedback from the community I will work on a priority list for implementing those features, as well as what the demand is for implementing similar functionality for the game listing and converting the lecture logs/tutorials and resources to using a similar repository structure to allow community contributions.

ASpace and Me
Submitted by Ender on Sat, 2008-01-12 11:27.So, I'm hosting aspace.pennmush.org for qa'toq and the general PennMUSH community these days. Mainly, I remember what it was, did some "dev" work for upgrades to 1.7 (hacks, I assure you...), and now work on a showcase MUSH for it.
My own MUSH has the bleeding edge "I better remember to svn upgrade tonight" source for aspace on it, as well.

Community MUSHlist
Submitted by javelin on Fri, 2008-01-11 14:35.Several MUSHers suggested that it would be nice to have a new MUSH-specific mudlist where people could submit their game information (a la mudconnector) and where the information could be shared and exported (e.g., via RSS).
So now we've got one, hosted here. Click on "MUSHlist" in the navigation menu to see the current list.
To add your MUSH to the list, choose "Create content" and select "MUSHlist entry" and fill out the form. Once you submit it, it'll be reviewed by a MUSHlist editor (to prevent spam) and approved into the MUSHlist.
Snapshot of MUSHes
Submitted by javelin on Tue, 2007-11-06 15:30.Ulmo@BeleriandMUSH went onto the Mud Connector website and looked up all the MUSHes on 1 November 2007, and check their server type. Here's the list, for the curious (note that neither Ulmo nor I are maintaining any kind of mudlist, this is a one-time snapshot!):
