Many of you often have really neat ideas that the rest of us might really want to see involved. There's a joke even that if you have an idea, you have to: "Tell Walker and he'll get it in for you!" - Simply because I have a dozen mentions in the help files.

Well - for that dozen mentions, I put 2 dozen submissions in for consideration. And a lot of my good ones, I had asked for suggestions that they might have had on a big ol list of "features that might be neat but I don't wanna do right now."

So I've written a short little howto on getting your name into the "help changes" list:

This release of 1.7.7 includes minor bugfixes and code cleanup, but is primarily a features release, with several goodies, including @switch/regexp and reswitch*(), @*emit/spoof, some new functions and extensions of old ones, a DEBUG attribute flag, some changes to ambiguous channel matching, and a Mingw port.

This system allows the MUSH owner to log everything that happens on a PennMUSH in a format that cannot be read, but is still useful: Given any message seen on the MUSH, information about who sent the message can be reconstructed. This allows the authenticity of player-provided logs (e.g. from harassment complaints) to be verified, as well as spoofers to be caught even when no one was set NOSPOOF, without violating the privacy of your players.
