New Horizons
New Horizons MUSH is a space themed game that takes places in the late 30th century. Rather than limiting options to a theme of perhaps Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon or Star Wars... it has been decided to incorporate ideas, but not strictly those themes. For example, a transporter does not exist, because it's too "easy" to solve movement problems. It is felt that the harder the challenge, the more appealing the game is when it is overcome. Or another example is running out of fuel, those things never happen in most other themes.. but they do with us... and there's "tow trucks" automated to call as an example. Furthermore, the economy really drives the game..and also "itself".. automation trades amongst itself on need/use so there's never a worry of stagnation. Many times games struggle because of lack of players.. the economy in New Horizons tries to take this into account and work on it's own as well as player input! Finite detail has gone into trying to figure out what every person needs to have an enjoyable experience, from training a new never-MU* player to highly experienced. Although being new game, the potential is great. The coding staff has MU* experience both playing and administering/building since 1992. Currently we are asking for people to use and try it out, to give both constructive criticism and also compliment. Eager knowledgeable hands are always welcome as well if someone wishes to contribute. The game is considered at a "test" level but there's constant improvement.
