M*U*S*H Stolen!
Submitted by M*U*S*H addict on Fri, 2005-04-01 02:00.
M*U*S*H has been stolen, and in its place ... an insidious poem! This is confounding! What can be done?
Somebody put me in a straightjacket, I need my M*U*S*H fix!
HOW, HOW, HOW can you steal a MUSH?!?!
Update: M*U*S*H has been retrieved and restored to its rightful place. See the bboards for details on who successfully found it, and won prizes.

Err ... so it is. I never knew about the FAQ-o-matic.
Neat, but ...
How do I get back in? :-(
I'm going to spend all night at this ...

Ok, I think I've made sense of the first line ... It's a pattern, right? But only using the first letters of each word?
It's also a hint on its own, whereas the other three lines combined make their hints.

I get it! The first line is a pattern missing a piece, that's the "lie"
Lines 2 and 3 have the constants!

Ok, someone told me there's more than a dozen people on M*U*S*H now :-(. No luck for me to get those certificates. But I can still do this!
The first line is: o t t f ? s s e
I can't figure out what that missing ? is. Somebody told me it was to do with counting from one?
The second and third lines contain 3 things that the "start" of which are taken, and those are the constants. Pies, Ease, and Plank.
Hmmm...
But this finally gave me an excuse to make an account for here. =D
Been meaning to do it for months, but not getting to do much outside of console and being largely stuck on w3m gets annoying.
perplexing
Ok...I'm open to hints and suggestions....Tried visiting the three mushes mentioned in the logs, Chicago is empty, and I don't see much on Brazil. Tried to parse the poll in different ways, and, of course, read the FAQ....
This is very fun. :-) What a wonderful challenge.

It is an axiom of evil thieve
It is an axiom of evil thievery that the responsible party will no doubt want to taunt you with hints and clues throughout the day. So keep up the positive vibrations.

I hate, hate, hate puzzles!
Axioms and three, but not for me!
Still hunting, but no luck....
I got the three thing. It's in there somwhere :-) I was thinking H is the eighth letter of the alphabet, so I tried some permutations of 3's and 8's. Then i was thinking about different ways to multiply/divide/add/subtract 3's and 8's.
Im not sure if the "positive vibrations." is a red herring...but I'll keep working at it!
Slap me and call me stupid, but...
I'm confused. Where's this riddle we're supposed to be viewing?

Ah, finally, got my "forgot password" email. Take a look around the FOM entry's links, it's in there somewhere... but even once you find it, you WILL be infuriated. :)

Well, I'm tempted to say it's easy as pie, but that's clearly only a discrete quantity of the story.

i can't find any evidence of the aforementioned poem... it might have been helpful if you posted that along with the above message.

Have you checked the FAQ-O-Matic? How about the links it goes to? Maybe somebody followed the lecture log on stealing MUSHes to the letter ...
