Community MUSHlist

Several MUSHers suggested that it would be nice to have a new MUSH-specific mudlist where people could submit their game information (a la mudconnector) and where the information could be shared and exported (e.g., via RSS).

So now we've got one, hosted here. Click on "MUSHlist" in the navigation menu to see the current list.

To add your MUSH to the list, choose "Create content" and select "MUSHlist entry" and fill out the form. Once you submit it, it'll be reviewed by a MUSHlist editor (to prevent spam) and approved into the MUSHlist.

If you have suggestions for the list (stuff to add/change/whatever in the entries, other ideas), please let me know! You can leave the ideas as comments to this posting. :)

Having been part of the

Having been part of the discussion on @M*U*S*H that spawned this, I am happy that the c.p.o maintainers (Ok, Jav...) went through with the idea. While it caters to all MU*s, regardless of codebase, this MUSHList is a good sight better than other MUDlist sites.

Categorization scheme

I would suggest something that indexes the theme/purpose of the game as well as the codebase.
Something like the following for theme would be ideal, IMO:

  • Social/Open
    • Social
    • Code lab
    • Other
  • RP
    • Historical
    • Fantasy/Scifi
      • WoD
      • Star Wars
      • Star Trek
      • Battletech
      • Transformers
      • Tolkein
      • D&D
      • Other fantasy
        • Original theme fantasy
        • Other derivative theme fantasy
      • Cyberpunk
      • Shadowrun
    • Contemporary

This is not meant to be comprehensive by any means, but illustrative.

Will there be a way to edit

Will there be a way to edit your game details on the list, or is there already a way that i haven't yet discovered?

Nevermind, i find out how to do it.
