Not happening on the same host (mudhosting) with 1.8.4p7 or p8.</p> <p>Very odd, and a bit of a mystery. I'm looking at other games that are on 1.8.5+ that are running with none of this random spot-lag. I just can't figure out why it's happening.</p> <p>Not sure if anybody will read this but, advice is greatly appreciated!</p> </div> <section class="field field--name-field-blog-comments field--type-comment field--label-above comment-wrapper"> </section> Tue, 07 Aug 2012 00:01:20 +0000 thekou 1127 at https://community.pennmush.org Don't Drop It Like It's Hot! https://community.pennmush.org/node/1083 <span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">Don&#039;t Drop It Like It&#039;s Hot!</span> <span class="field field--name-uid field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden"><span>Lexx</span></span> <span class="field field--name-created field--type-created field--label-hidden">Sun, 2012-03-18 15:02</span> <div class="field field--name-topic field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/2" hreflang="en">Bugs</a></div> </div> <div class="node__links"> <ul class="links inline"><li class="comment-forbidden"></li></ul> </div> <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>Okay I know I'm a bad boy, I'm using Win32 version of PennMUSH version 1.8.0</p> <p>patchlevel 5 [05/30/2005] and it has HSpace Trueline 4.3.7 and active.</p> <p>My problem is this:</p> <p>1) @set TERMINAL: Trainer=wizard<br /> 2) drop terminal</p> <p>a second or two later:</p> <p>CRASH</p> <p>Anybody have any ideas what is causing this?</p> <p>I've tried dropping the object and then setting it wizard and it does the same thing! My MUSH client is set to Latin1, my LANG on the server is set to FR_fr, and almost everything runs fine with accents.</p> <p>My only issue so far is that, while EVERY .txt in /game/txt/ displays accents, "connect.txt" doesn't.</p> <p>I've been working with PennMUSH for only 10 hours so far, from ./configure to building a house, but I can't figure out what's the problem with this simple "connect.txt" not showing accents. (Right after "connect.txt", PennMUSH shows "motd.txt", and accents are displayed fine.)</p> <p>In "connect.txt", accents are replaced by the letter without the accent. (So an accented "e" is shown "e".)</p> <p>So, in the hardcode, is the localization called _after_ "connect.txt" is called ? (and before "motd.txt" is ?)</p> <p>Can someone help me out ? :)</p> </div> <section class="field field--name-field-blog-comments field--type-comment field--label-above comment-wrapper"> </section> Thu, 08 Sep 2011 23:05:14 +0000 geradon 957 at https://community.pennmush.org Possible bug in PennMush 1.8.4p1 https://community.pennmush.org/node/906 <span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">Possible bug in PennMush 1.8.4p1</span> <span class="field field--name-uid field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden"><span>Argon</span></span> <span class="field field--name-created field--type-created field--label-hidden">Sun, 2010-11-14 18:48</span> <div class="field field--name-topic field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/2" hreflang="en">Bugs</a></div> </div> <div class="node__links"> <ul class="links inline"><li class="comment-forbidden"></li></ul> </div> <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>Okay, I know this is not the right place to report a bug. In 1.8.2p8 this works perfectly fine. However 1.8.4p1 currently breaks our softcode.</p> </div> <section class="field field--name-field-blog-comments field--type-comment field--label-above comment-wrapper"> </section> Mon, 15 Nov 2010 00:48:55 +0000 Argon 906 at https://community.pennmush.org How do we submit bugs? https://community.pennmush.org/node/823 <span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">How do we submit bugs?</span> <span class="field field--name-uid field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden"><span>Lolkje</span></span> <span class="field field--name-created field--type-created field--label-hidden">Thu, 2009-08-20 16:28</span> <div class="field field--name-topic field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/2" hreflang="en">Bugs</a></div> </div> <div class="node__links"> <ul class="links inline"><li class="comment-forbidden"></li></ul> </div> <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>I tried to submit a bug at dev.pennmush.org, and the site is saying "Warning: Can't synchronize with the repository (/svn/pennmush does not appear to be a Subversion repository.). They can chat and roleplay like normal, but if they're silent for more than a few minutes and then suddenly pose a reply in room or chat, their screen freezes and then the MUSH kicks them off about 30 secs later. As long as they keep up a constant stream of chatter, no one gets kicked. Silence and then pose and everyone gets kicked. Ideas? What kind of problem could this be? Thanks :)</p> </div> <section class="field field--name-field-blog-comments field--type-comment field--label-above comment-wrapper"> </section> Mon, 20 Apr 2009 03:03:29 +0000 annP 802 at https://community.pennmush.org
